Strategic direction & Roadmap for Laerdal medical

Timeline: 2 months, 2023
Role: As one of a 5-member team, I was actively involved throughout the project - from shaping the vision and managing team coordination to presenting the final proposal to the client.

Context: This project focused on defining a vision and developing a detailed design roadmap for a new service line at Laerdal Medical, aligned with its strategic direction. As a global leader in healthcare education and resuscitation, Laerdal is committed to its mission of Helping Save Lives - aiming to save one million more lives every year by 2030.
Activities included vision setting, identifying key opportunity areas, and outlining a phased roadmap to bring the vision to life.
Outcomes: Strategic roadmap, Tactical roadmap and Pitch deck and presentation to the client.

Feedback: The professors were impressed with our work and selected it for presentation to the client, which I presented with my team member, Sjoeka.

We started by asking a few big questions - In the US Context, who are our key customers? What do they really need and care about? How can we best reach them and position our service in a way that truly speaks to them? And, most importantly, what are the most promising and realistic directions for Laerdal to grow?

Through our research, we uncovered something interesting (and a bit concerning): the mix of overwhelming health goals, lack of connection, and rising individualism is leading to a common mindset - “Why bother?” But we believe Laerdal has the potential to shift that thinking. By offering services that help save lives even before CPR is needed, there's a real opportunity to make a powerful impact.
